The NSCN Board has been involved in a comprehensive recruitment process to support the replacement of NSCN’s current CEO & Registrar upon her planned retirement. After careful consideration, the Board has made the decision to extend the recruitment process for the CEO & Registrar position.
The NSCN Board felt the recruitment process as it unfolded did not align with its expectations and believed it was necessary to correct that. A process that will involve obtaining a new recruitment firm is already underway and new timelines will be established. In the interim, NSCN’s current CEO & Registrar, Sue Smith, will stay on in her role to support NSCN through this period of transition.
The Board recognizes the changing landscape of health regulation in Nova Scotia and globally, and is committed to building upon NSCN’s ongoing leadership in public safety and nursing regulation in our province.
