2024 Annual Meeting Registration & Agenda
NSCN will hold our 2024 Annual Meeting virtually as an online event on Thursday, May 16 at 1:00pm. The meeting provides members of the public, registrants and other stakeholders the opportunity to receive updates about NSCN business from the Board, the CEO & Registrar and external auditors. The meeting also allows all stakeholders a platform to ask questions and engage in discussion about nursing regulatory matters.

Other Important Information
- Tax season is here! To find your tax receipt for your annual registration and licence, log in to the registrant portal and under 'invoices' choose 'include paid'.
- We are looking for subject matter expert volunteers to participate in development activities for the 2024 Canadian Nurse Practitioner Examination (CNPE).
- Registration is open for our Supporting Professional Practice in Nursing Workshop! This in-person workshop is open to those supporting nurses in professional practice in Nova Scotia only.
- On March 20th, NPs received an email to participate in the Canadian Council for Registered Nurse Regulators’ (CCRNR) NP Practice Analysis Validation Survey to gather feedback that will inform how NPs are tested at entry-to-practice.
- March’s practice support tool of the month is the Professional Presence Practice Guideline, which assists nurses in understanding their professional presence obligations and to offer guidance to meet this standard of practice.
- April 16 is the deadline to complete the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) audit process. Nurses who were randomly selected to participate received notification via email on February 16. Please note: some nurses have reported this email going to their junk mail, so please check this folder to confirm if you were selected.
