Important Licence Renewal Information
The licence renewal period for the 2024-2025 year opens on September 4! To be eligible to practice on November 1, 2024, you must renew your licence before the renewal period closes on October 31, 2024.

September 4: First day to renew your licence.
October 9: Deadline to be entered into the early bird licence renewal contest.
October 31: Deadline to renew your licence.
November 1: First day of the new licensure year.

Other Important Information
- Registration is open for our Supporting Professional Practice in Nursing Workshop in Sydney, Cape Breton! This in-person workshop is open to those supporting nurses in professional practice in Nova Scotia only.
- Read our new Q&A on the Electronic Health Records Regulations, which came into effect on July 2, 2024 and will enable patients’ health information to be added to a central electronic health record, accessible through the YourHealthNS app.
- July’s practice support tool of the month is the Telenursing Practice Guideline for Nurses, which was developed to support nurses to meet their standards of practice while providing telenursing services.
