Effective January 20, 2025, NSCN has temporarily paused the intake of new applications to the expedited registration and licensure pathway for international nurse applicants currently registered and licensed in the Philippines, India, Nigeria, the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. While on pause, NSCN will continue to evaluate the expedited licensure pathway focusing on its overall impact on the health system in NS, sustainability and policies.
International nurse applicants seeking registration and licensure with NSCN while the expedited pathway is on pause, may still do so via the traditional pathway. Under the traditional application pathway, international applicants must first apply to the National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) for assessment. They can apply to NSCN once they have received their NNAS advisory report.
International nurse applicants who have already applied to NSCN for registration and licensure will not be impacted. NSCN will continue to process these applications as usual.
